A decommissioned buoy on the banks of the Rhine in Koenigswinter-Niederdollendorf, NRW, Germany. The buoy is set on a lawn close to the ferry from Niederdollendorf to Bad Godesberg.
Königswinter and the English seaside resort Cleethorpes (nowadays: North East Lincolnshire) are twinned for more than 40 years. North East Lincolnshire is located on the east coast of Great Britain and it is a city where life is closely linked to the sea. The partnership between these both cities has been justified by the act of signing on October 5, 1974 in Koenigswinter and on March 15, 1975 in Cleethorpes. The gift was donated by the English sister city in the year 1994.
