EN: This white Stenkreuz is on the road from Nuglar to St. Pantaleon. The cross bears a black Jesus figure and the letters IHS.

This cross became known nationwide in late 2011. The figure was stolen and the empty cross painted with a naked woman. Other crosses in the area were also damaged by the unknown perpetrator. The traces were quickly removed and a new figure was donated by a private. Then long discussions started in the community about the responsibility for the upkeep of the crosses. Finally, the municipality and the parish shared the costs and let repair and restore all 15 crosses in the municipal territory.

DE: Dieses weisse Stenkreuz steht an der Strasse von Nuglar nach St. Pantaleon. Das Kreuz trägt eine schwarze Jesusfigur und die Buchstaben IHS.

Dieses Kreuz wurde Ende 2011 landesweit bekannt. Die Figur wurde gestohlen und das leere Kreuz mit einer nackten Frau bemalt. Auch andere Kreuze in der Gegend wurden von dem unbekannten Täter beschädigt. Die Spuren wurden schnell beseitigt und von einem privaten eine neue Figur gespendet. Darauf entbrannten lange Diskussionen um die Zuständigkeit für den Unterhalt der Kreuze in der Gemeinde. Die Gemeinde und die Kirchgemeinde teilten sich die Kosten und liessen alle 15 Kreuze auf dem Gemeindegebiet reparieren und restaurieren.
