These two mechanical binoculars are installed at the Observation Platform at the Lion's Head Marina in Lion's Head, Ontario. They are installed primarily for viewing the Lion's Head, a rocky outcropping on the Niagara Escarpment from which the town is named.
Access to and use of the binoculars is free. So is parking and public washrooms. Now that's how to treat tourists!

As someone who regularly uses quality binoculars for birding, I was pretty impressed with the optics in these binoculars.
This model provides two viewing heads off of one post-one at standard height and one at wheelchair (ADA) height. A graceful swept arm holds the ADA viewing head separately and at the correct height.
