Perry lake Park is the 170-acre site of a CCC Camp #863 which constructed this lake and facilities during the period from 5/1/1934 to 7/1/1935. 216 men worked on creating this beautiful lake and the picnic facilities here.
The National Register nomination describes this bridge as follows:
This stone arch bridge has a total length of approximately forty feet and the round arch span is about fifteen feet. The stonework is quarry-faced, in a regular, random ashlar. At each end, and on each side of the bridge, large piers rise above the roadway approximately three feet, and two smaller piers are equidistant between them. Rounded timbers are set into the piers, providing a naturalistic guardrail.
This park has one-way drives which meander around the lake and the slightly hilly terrain makes for a wonderful hiking area.
