Nice rock hounding area of Buffalo Gap National Grasslands in South Dakota. It is near Interior, SD, west of Badlands National Park. This is a very desolate area. Nearest town is miles away. But it is very scenic. There are many types of rocks here including agates and the elusive and rare Fairburn Agate. Petrified wood and fossils can be found but they are not allowed to be collected. This area is in a National Grasslands. The rules for grasslands is the same as for national forests. There is an awesome Grasslands Visitor's Center in Wall, SD.
