DE: Die Ereignisse um die »Brücke von Remagen«, wie die Ludendorffbrücke von den Amerikanern genannt wurde, haben den Autor Rolf Palm zu einem Roman inspiriert, der die Grundlage des vom Intendanten der Landesbühne Rheinland-Pfalz, Walter Ullrich, inszenierten Theaterstücks "Die Brücke" ist.
In mehr als 100 Aufführungen in den Jahren 2006 bis 2014 wurde das Theaterstück im Tunnel unter der Erpeler Ley auf die Bühne gebracht. Das historische Geschehen wird am Originalschauplatz in der Kunstform des Theaters wieder in Erinnerung gerufen. Hiermit soll ein Beitrag geleistet werden, deutsche Geschichte lebendig zu erhalten und die Schrecken von Krieg und Zerstörung nicht zu vergessen, um so Impulse für eine friedliche Zukunft zu setzen.
