Jahrzehnte über wurde hier der Boden nach Schätzen durchwühlt und Kohle abgebaut.
Was überblieb war ein riesiges Restloch und einige alte Technik.
Durch das Jahrhunderthochwasser 2002 wurde die Goitzsche geflutet.
Die technischen Hinterlassenschaften, wie auch diese Lok hat man wieder hergerichtet. So ist die Goitzsche nun ein Ausflugsziel für jung und alt.
