This tunnel is on the former railway from Koblenz to Mayen. It placed between the stations Nettesürsch and Hausen. It was opened in 1904 and has a lenght of 499.5m. After closing the railway the track has been rebuild as a recreation path for both runners and cyclists. Although the tunnel is curved, there is no need for flashlights to pass it, because it has been equipped with lights.
To visit this tunnel you can follow the Maifeld-Radweg from Hausen or Polch (easy) or use the hiking-path and climb up from the Nette-Tal (hard).
