This barn sits on property homesteaded in 1908 by John and Bartha Moulton who over the next 8 years cleared 80 acres; constructed a house, a barn, and a corral; and fenced the land.

The gambrel-with-shed log barn was built during the years 1908 to 1916. The central gambrel component is one and a half stories with one story shed-roof components on each side. The logs are square notched.
