The city of Sullivan, Missouri is split in at least two majors ways: I-44 goes through it, dividing it NW/SE; and the county line splits it between Franklin and Crawford Counties, but with Franklin getting most of the town, and including this cemetery.
Furthermore, this cemetery itself is split - but not by either of the above. It appears on both the east and west sides of N. Church Street, but the segments aren't even across from each other, even though it is considered the same cemetery.
Although there were 144 graves with missing dates at the time of this waymark posting, the oldest recorded grave is from 1867 -- just a couple of years after the civil war. But whether it is antebellum (some of the unknown-date graves pre-date 1865?) is unknown. The latest burials were from the same year of this waymark.
