A good example of the Federal farmhouse built for a prosperous family. The Angelles first settled in the area in the 1700's. The house was built for Jonathan Angell, a farmer and wheelwright. The house stayed in the Angell family until 1854 when it was bought by Peter Ballou. The house changed hands again in 1934 and became rental property for several decades. Today it is back to a single family residence.
