On the grounds of the Smith Creek Methodist Church; the car is parked there by the church as a ruse. They want passerby's to thing someone is working there.

"The Smith Creek Methodist Church, located less than two miles northeast of Henry's farm, continued to play a central role in the lives of Henry Landwehr and his family. Henry and Louise attend church at Smith Creek, and their children attended Sunday School at Smith Creek. Henry and Louis undoubtedly supported construction of the new church building that was built in 1888.
