The Payson Temple was announced on 25 January 2010. The ground breaking and site dedication was then held on 8 October 2011 by Elder Dallin H. Oaks. Construction took place over the next 4 years. I really enjoyed going down to the site to watch the progress as the beautiful building came up out of the ground.
The church held a public open house 24 April–23 May 2015.
The dedication was performed on 7 June 2015 by Henry B. Eyring.
