These millstones are on display in the Pickwick Flour Mill in rural Winona. They are examples of rare French stones; a label tells more about them:

“French Millstones. This pair of 45” diameter stones and this extremely rare monolithic Behr Runner millstone are used here to demonstrate the earliest period of milling in Minn.

Originally used to grind wheat, the best millstones came from France.

These millstones were donated to Pickwick Mill by Mark Pace of State Mills in Boston, Virginia, in 1998.”
