Jonathan Young Windmill - Windmills on Waymarking.com

This windmill, located just off of Route 28 in Town Cove Park, was built in about 1720 in South Orleans. In 1839 the windmill was moved to the present site of The Governor Prence Motor Inn (Orleans), and then was moved again in 1897 - this time to Hyannisport, located further west on Cape Cod.

Eventually, the windmill was returned to Orleans, where it was carefully restored in its current location. The windmill is open to the public June - September. Free Parking is available at the site.
