DE: Es ist gegen 17 Uhr, als ein Autofahrer der Polizeiinspektion Remagen mitteilt, dass soeben aus dem Fenster eines Wohnhauses ein Fernseher auf die viel befahrene Bundesstraße 9 geworfen wurde. Die Polizisten Michael Kohlenbeck und Horst Stolz fahren zur Sinziger Straße 3. Mit Gewalt müssen sie die Wohnungstür im Dachgeschoss öffnen. Dort stoßen sie auf ein grausames Blutbad. Im Badezimmer finden sie Paul Becker (66) – mit 13 Stichen in Brust und Hals getötet. Im Wohnzimmer liegt Maria-Schröder-Becker (59). Ihr wurde die Kehle durchgeschnitten. Im Schlafzimmer kämpft die von Messerstichen schwer verletzte Rita Becker (60) ums Überleben. Sie hatte den Fernseher durch das Fenster auf die Straße geworfen und „Mörder, Mörder“ gerufen. Etwa 20 bis 25 Minuten soll das Gemetzel gedauert haben, wie der Täter später bei der Vernehmung erklärt. Die Polizei geht zunächst von einem Beziehungsdrama aus. Sie sucht nach Kurt Schröder (71), dem Mann von Maria – und findet ihn wenig später in seiner Villa am Rhein, vergraben unter Schutt und Steinen. Er wurde mit sieben Stichen getötet.
In dieser Rheinvilla hatte der entflohene Häftling übernachtet, als er von Kurt Schröder entdeckt wurde. Schröder und drei weitere Familienmitglieder werden kaltblütig erstochen.
Die Sonderkommission „Villa“ nimmt die Ermittlungen auf. Nichts wird ausgeschlossen. Verwandte werden verhört und verdächtigt. Das vierte Opfer, die im Koma liegende Rita Becker, kann nicht helfen. Ohne das Bewusstsein zurückzuerlangen verstirbt sie am Vormittag des 26. März.
Die Fahnder haben Erfolg. Die Spurensicherung macht unter 19 Fingerabdrücken einen aus, der nicht von den Opfern stammt. Dieser ist der von Dieter Zurwehme, 57 Jahre, einem bereits wegen Mordes verurteilten Schwerverbrecher, der von einem Freigang im offenen Vollzug der Haftanstalt Bielefeld nicht zurückgekehrt ist.
