The clock face is circular and has a black background. The marks for the hours and minutes are painted directly onto the clock face in gold. The hour marks are Roman numerals. Outside the minute marks is a floral design running around the edge of the clock face and is painted in a pale blue. Breaking the pattern, in gold numbers, are the minutes at "60", "15", "30" and "45". Between the minute and hour marks is another pattern, also in pale blue, running around the clock face. The hands, coloured gold, are a basic design and are very slender. The minute had has a tail.
