FR/Ce monument situé à Tours Nord, à l'entrée de la route menant à la base 705 et derrière le KFC, est un mémorial rendant hommage aux 26 français qui ont été lâchement assassinés par la Gestapo,le 9 août 1944. Ces français faisaient tous partie de la résistance d'Indre et Loire. Ce monument représente une femme penchée sur un cadavre recouvert d'un drap, au pied d'un poteau, ou pendent encore quelques cordes. Un monument chargé d'une sordide histoire et qui impose le recueillement. Les noms de ces français sont inscrits de chaque côté du monument sur des plaques. L'intitulé du monument est "Aux martyrs de la Résistance d'Indre et Loire".
EN/This monument located in North Tours, the entrance of the road leading to the base 705 and behind the KFC, is a memorial honoring 26 French who were cowardly murdered by the Gestapo on August 9, 1944. The French were all part of the resistance of Indre et Loire. This monument represents a woman leaning over a dead body covered with a sheet, beneath a post, or hang a few strings. A monument charged with a sordid history and imposes contemplation. The names of these French are enrolled each side of the monument on plates. The title of the monument is "To the martyrs of the Indre et Loire Resistance".
