The project was a partnership between Bell Canada, Community Matters Toronto, Town of Whitby, Station Gallery, Whitby Downtown Development Office, Whitby Chamber of Commerce, Whitby Blooms, and the Old Whitby Neighbourhood Association. Paint was donated by Benjamin Moore Paint.

When I was told that the theme for the Whitby Bell Box Murals was Whitby Heritage, I immediately thought of the Whitby Brass Band. One of my fondest memories of growing up in Whitby was attending 'Music in the Park' where families would gather to enjoy a variety of musical talents. For my piece, I wanted to capture the fun my sister and I (and many others!) would have when we would run around, dance and pretend to be conducting the amazing musicians.
