This station, a New Jersey Geodetic Survey disk, is located in Beachwood, NJ. It is set in the corner of a rectangular concrete box for a DOT manhole cover, at the junction of Atlantic City Boulevard (U.S. Rt. 9), and Mizzen Avenue:
DESCRIBED BY NEW JERSEY GEODETIC SURVEY 2007
THE STATION IS LOCATED IN BEACHWOOD BOROUGH, SET IN A DRILL HOLE IN
THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF A CONCRETE TRAFFIC MANHOLE RIM ON THE
SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE JUNCTION OF US HIGHWAY 9 AND MIZZEN AVENUE.
THE STATION IS 2.8 FT (0.9 M) SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHWEST CURB OF US
HIGHWAY 9, 15.2 FT (4.6 M) SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST CURB EXTENDED OF
MIZZEN AVENUE, 7.1 FT (2.2 M) SOUTHEAST OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL, 36.5 FT
(11.1 M) NORTH-NORTHEAST OF THE NORTH CORNER OF THE BEACHWOOD AUTO
BODY SHOP (1 STORY STUCCO), 37.5 FT (11.4 M) NORTHWEST OF A POLE WITH
NO NUMBER.
The mark is very easy to locate per the description. The description mentions the disk at the northeast corner of the access cover, but it looks more like southeast to me, see the photo.
As recovered, the mark was highlighted in a large white cross, apparently for satellite purposes. Just made it that much easier to find!
