In Keene, near Central Square, is a tall flagpole that is a memorial to veterans of several wars.

The flagpole is placed on a small island dividing lanes of Main Street, and across Roxbury Street from Central Square.

The pole is colored white, rising from a bronze holder and a granite base. There were three flags flown from the pole: the U.S. Flag, (probably) the , MIA-KIA flag, and the NH state flag. The bronze holder had eagle, shield and laurel designs on it. The base had different plaques on the sides.
