"Full-length figure of a fireman. He wears a uniform including firehat and overcoat. He holds a young child in his proper left arm. The child's proper right arm is on the fireman's proper left shoulder. The fireman holds out a lantern in his proper right hand; the child points to it with its proper left hand. The bronze sculpture stands on a multi-stepped granite pedestal base."
