The Northborough Soldiers' Monument is a granite monument with 25' obelisk topped by an eagle with outspread wings. It rests on a three tiered 10' square base. At the top of the obelisk is a triangle on each side with a star within the tympanum. Above the triangles is perched an eagle with partially outspread wings. The front face of the obelisk has a pair of crossed rifles below a raised band that encircles the obelisk at mid height. Each side of the band has four stars.
