about the 'Messehaus Stentzlers Hof':
The five-storey corner building was built in the years 1914/1916. It was designed by the Architketen Leopold Stenzler from Leipzig. On the street facade are several interesting details.
The oriole windows on the first floor are highlighted by figures of the sculptor Bruno Wollstätter. The figures embody trade, wealth, prosperity and other allegories. At the corner of the house a Roland figure with sword and arms of the city of Leipzig and the slogan "unity is strength" is incorporated. The pitched roof with gables, show in Leipzig Renaissance tradition, is a reminder of the 16th century architecture.
In spring 1916, the first fair took place in Stentzlers Hof. Until 1991 the building was used by the 'Leipziger Messe' and is now an office and commercial building.
