The tower of St James Chapel, over the west gate, is endowed with two clock faces. One is visible from the High Street and the other from West Street in Warwick. The chapel is located at the south west end of the High Street.

The two clock faces are identical so only one is described here. The face is diamond shaped and made fro wood that has been painted black. The hour and minute marks are painted directly on to the face in gold with Roman numerals being used for the hours. Outside the minute marks, in the corners of the diamond are an inverted arrow (12), the letter "L" at both the 3 and 9 and the letter "H" at the 6 position. The "LLH" is for the Lord Leycester's Hospital that stands close by.
The clock faces appear to be a late addition to the tower as they partially obscure the belfrey openings.
