"Walking into the Markland House on the Flagler College campus is much like stepping into a time machine.
On its right side is the original Markland House built by Dr. Andrew Anderson in 1839.
The pink and yellow walls are laced with delicate white trim.
Dr. Andrew Anderson II is credited with the 1901 additions to the home featuring a dining room and library on the ground floor.
On the left side, the walls of the dining room and library are a deep green with a trim that has a dark finish.
Both sides tell parts of the story of the Markland House’s history.
As a Flagler College property, it serves as a space for offices, entertainment and on some occasions, weddings." (
