The little park on the corner of 2nd and Main holds a piece of history depicted in the mural based on Corwin’s Souvenir published in 1889. Old timers will recall views from the early days in Forest Park. The painting includes images of boating on the river, the dining hall, cabin, assembly hall, horse-drawn wagons, and residents enjoying a sunny afternoon under the trees. Three other paintings join the mural on the park wall, one of the ice man, another with a fire truck, and one done by the Ottawa Art Club. The artwork is on the north side of the Jazzercise building.
