The 1896 Farmers and Merchants Bank in "Bonnie and Clyde" is on the NW corner of W. Main and S. Washington Streets. This bank was never actually robbed by the criminal couple, but used for interior and exteriors sets in the film.
The Arthur Penn directed 111-minute Warner Bros. film, starring Faye Dunaway, Warren Beatty and Gene Hackman, released August 13, 1967. The film was produced for about $2.5 million and box-officed about $70 million.
The scene in the still shows the get-away car heading west on W. Main St. in Pilot Point, TX just after the robbery with a bank patron running down the steps.
