This sign identifies the various stone implements on display inside the Old Kitchen at Mission San Gabriel.
The sign reads as follows:
"Here are the time-worn stone implements used by the Indians to pound the wheat and corn into flour and to grind the meat for making meatballs and tortillas. These relics were dug out of the ground during excavation of that part of the mission grounds just north of the museum, formerly the Mission Quadrangle."
