The Zion Lutheran Church was originally erected in 1950 as the Zion Reformed Church. There is a small plaque monumented above the cornerstone that resides in front of the church's bell tower that mentions the Zion Lutheran Church being a member of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod on March 18, 2015.
There is a very nice rose garden known as the 'Freedom Garden' and dedicated in memory of veterans of war.
The church property is very well maintained and manicured. There is a bible school and daycare facility attached to the original church building.
