The Tillamook County Fairgrounds is a branch of Tillamook County, located in Tillamook, Oregon at 4603 East Third Street. A Manager, hired by the Fair Board, heads the Tillamook County Fair and Fairgrounds.

History of the Tillamook County Fair

In 1921, a county-wide levy of $1 million was approved to acquire and build the present fairgrounds. Fair Board member R.C. Magarelle donated 83.75 acres of land East of the City of Tillamook and the Williams family donated another 7.7 acres. In 1925, the County Fair was held in the new domed exhibit building and in 1926-27, the Grandstand, Barns and Dance Hall were added to the fairgrounds. Today, approximately 63 acres remain. The Tillamook County Fairgrounds currently has the largest facility in the county for conventions, meetings, receptions, dances and RV rallys. The Tillamook County Fair and Fairgrounds budget is presented to the County Budget Committee and Treasurer for analysis, clarification and approval. It is the goal of the Tillamook County Fair and Fairgrounds to serve the needs of Tillamook County by operating a year-round facility in a fiscally responsible manner and providing, as funds allow, safe, clean and appealing grounds and facilities for all to use.

The Tillamook County Fairgrounds serves as a gathering place for the community to showcase their products and skills. It creates educational, social, cultural and economic opportunities to help preserve and promote agriculture and traditions of Tillamook County. The Tillamook County Fair provides the most valuable, educational and entertaining experience that resources will allow. Operations of the fairgrounds as a year-round facility serves the community by providing multi-use facilities for public and private events in a fiscally responsible manner to generate economic stimulation and tourism development.

Who's at the Fair?:
The Tillamook County Fair rightly received their recognition as one of the top ten Blue Ribbon fairs in the nation because it is so unique and offers so much for fairgoers to enjoy for free once they have paid their admission to enter the fair. Fairgoers this year will be able to see all of the Open Class and 4-H/FFA exhibits that Tillamook County residents have prepared for the fair. They will see more dairy animals on display than any other County Fair in the state.
