[FR] "Architecture de lumière de haute précision, elle symbolise la pointe de la recherche aujourd’hui. Son caractère est aussi donné par le rythme des façades où le thème graphique de l’imagerie cellulaire apporte, par son ambiguïté, une dimension poétique, onirique et mystérieuse.
La nuit, ces rythmes polysémiques créent une perception de « fenêtres » de différentes échelles… Sur le boulevard du Montparnasse l’entrée des chercheurs et du centre de séminaires, en transparence avec le jardin intérieur, crée un grand porche, véritable parvis couvert, protecteur et accueillant.
La rue du Cherche Midi, elle aussi, plantée avec un alignement de peupliers qui tamise les vues sur les immeubles en vis-à-vis. L’accès des enfants depuis l’hôpital Necker se fait en traversant une grande serre plantée en continuité avec le jardin. L’architecture révèle en son sein une vraie surprise, une dimension cachée.
Le cœur du bâtiment est largement éclairé naturellement. Depuis les balcons intérieurs des labos, les chercheurs voient l’espace de consultation des enfants et son jardin intérieur.
Dans les hauteurs du bâtiment, le centre de séminaires bénéficie d’un panorama exceptionnel et devient une vitrine de la fondation Imagine."
[EN] As a high-precision architecture of light, the building symbolizes the cutting-edge of today’s research; its character evident in the rhythm of the facades, where the graphic theme of cellular imagery, through its ambiguity, brings a poetic dimension, dreamlike and mysterious.
At night, these rhythms can be read in various ways; they give an impression of ‘windows’ at different scales. Along the Boulevard de Montparnasse the research entrance and the conference center blend transparently with the internal garden beyond, creating a large porch, a covered square that protects and welcomes.
The Rue du Cherche-Midi is planted with a line of poplars that filter the view of the buildings opposite.
Children arrive from Necker Hospital through a large greenhouse planted to flow seamlessly into the garden. The architecture reveals a surprise, a hidden dimension at its heart. The heart of the building is mostly naturally lit. From the internal balconies of the labs, the researchers can see the children’s consulting rooms and the internal garden.
At the top of the building, the conference center benefits from an exceptional panorama and serves as a showcase for the Imagine Foundation."
