"School. Perhaps last quarter of C19 in origin. Tudor/Gothic Revival styling. Main building, 2 storey. Single storey accommodation perhaps a later addition. Severe red brick, with butresses, string courses and stone dressings. Steep pitched slate roofs with bands of decorative scalloped slates. Upstanding stone dressed gables, terra cotta ridge and brick dentilated eaves detail. Main building comprises 3 parallel blocks with gables fronting Dead Lane. False segmental brick arches with decorative terra cotta ?tympanae? above stone lintols to main openings."
