Ophelia England is buried under a tall broken column tombstone in Section 1, plot 27 near Navasota Street entrance to the cemetery.

"SACRED to the memory of
OPHELIA ENGLAND

[carving of an eye with rays]

Born May 6th, 1836
Died April 27th, 1861"

From the records of the Oakwood cemetery: (visit link)

"Apr 27
Died Ophelia England, Wife of P W England,
of Irasipales of the Lungs
Native of Miss
Aged 24 years 11 months and 21 days"

We did some research, and we think the disease that killed her is erysipelas, a bacterial staph infection that spread to her lungs and killed her. Blasterz are not doctors, but we think she may have died from of pneumonia?
