EN:
The St. Anne's Bridge in Laach is a pedestrian and bicycle bridge in the town of Mayschoß in Rhineland-Palatinate and spans the River Ahr.
The bridge is part of the Ahr Valley Cycle Route and was completed in Easter of 2005. The planning began in 1992 and has been hampered by the lack in Germany standards for this design.
This covered wooden bridge is the longest whole tree bridge in Germany .
Each five-Douglas Logs with diameters greater than 0.80 meters span as single span longitudinal beams the two spans. Then transverse larch planks form the roadway, which may be loaded up to 20 tons. As weather protection covers a larch construction with slate-shingle covering the bridge.
The base, the two abutments and a veneered with natural stones river piers of concrete.
