This plaque is across the road from the Ables Springs Church of Christ, on the site of the old school, church, and tabernacle. Below the depiction of a log cabin, it says (identical text on both sides):

Ables Springs

This plaque, erected in the Year of our Lord, 2006, by the descendants of James Ables and Eliza Godfrey Ables is in honor of those early settlers who were neighbors, friends, and kin of the Ables family. Those hardy pioneers were instrumental in establishing and maintaining the school, churches, fraternal organizations, businesses and other entities that made up the thriving and close knit community known as Ables Springs. An unbreakable bond was established between these families that has traversed time and is still evident today through their descendants. May the spirit and memory of Ables Springs live on through Time Eternal.
