9 de Julio, precisely located below the Avenue Roque Sáenz Peña between the streets Carabella and Carlos Pellegrini, was opened for public use on June 3rd, 1937. Thanks to its position a few meters from the Obelisco and therefore the Microcentro, 9 de Julio is one of the busiest Buenos Aires Subte stations. In addition, the south platform is connectimg it directly with the Galería Obelisco Sur, a commercial underground passage. From here, passengers may transfer to Carlos Pellegrini station on Line B and Diagonal Norte station on Line C and Metrobus 9 de Julio.
