This sign is located at the Reed's Bridge park, where the Battle of Reed's Bridge was fought during the 1863 Little Rock Campaign where Union soldiers attempted to push their way south while Confederate Troops tried to protect the Capitol.

Several historical markers highlights the events of the battlefield, and there are replica Civil War era structures and a cannon. The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places due to its historical significance.

History of Marker:
The marker outlines the movements of the Union and Confederate troops during the Battle of Reeds Bridge. The Union were attempting to cross the bridge and get to Little Rock to obtain control of the state capital; the Confederate troops held them off.
