The pedestrian bridge between Altenburg and Umiken use the pillars of the railway bridge above to hold the cables.

EN: The pedestrian bridge over the river Aare between the Brugg town districts Altenburg and Umiken is located under the railway bridge. It uses the bridge pillars as pylons.

The bridge was built in 1905 and replaced an older one by 1875. In 1995, a new concrete railway bridge was built on the existing pillars. The bridge is 235 meters long and is slightly curved.

DE: Die Fussgängerbrücke über die Aare zwischen den Brugger Stadtteilen Altenburg und Umiken befindet sich unter der Eisenbahnbrücke. Sie verwendet die Brückenpfeiler als Pylone.

Die Brücke wurde 1905 erbaut und ersetzte eine ältere von 1875. 1995 wurde auf den bestehenden Brückenpfeilern eine neue Spannbetonbrücke erbaut. Die Brücke ist 235 Meter lang und beschreibt einen leichten Bogen.
