This beautiful Shumard Red Oak tree was planted in Fort Worth's Veteran's Memorial Park by the Six Flags Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution to honor all veterans of World War II in 1995.

A plaque at the base of the tree reads as follows:

In honor of
World War II Veterans
Six Flags Chapter DAR
Planted this tree in 1995"
