The hill of Calvary marks the site of the former castle of Count d'Auvergne, Guy II (died 1224), which gave its name to the town (Châtel-Guyon by deformation means "castle of Guy II") .
At the top of Calvary, there is an orientation table on enamelled lava, where the landscape elements are identified 360 °.

La colline du Calvaire marque l'emplacement de l'ancien château fort du comte d'Auvergne, Guy II (mort en 1224), qui a donné son nom à la commune (Châtel-Guyon signifie par déformation « château de Guy II »).
Au sommet du Calvaire, il y a une table d'orientation émaillé sur lave, où on repère les éléments du paysage sur 360°.
