"Built where it stands, the Ferrando Brother's barn is a typical, dirt floor, redwood barn of early central California ranches. A main roof flanked by shallow pitched shed roofs and a post and beam construction with square poles are characteristic of this design.

The barn was originally designed for feeding saddle and draft horses on one side, cattle on the other side, and hay storage in the center." (visit link)
