EN: The Conference Pavilion is on the eastern edge of the Vitra Campus, next to the Vitra Design Museum by Frank Gehry. The house was completed in 1993 and was Tadao Ando's first project outside Japan. The restrained construction includes several conference rooms.
The Japanese architect Tadao Ando was born in 1941. His work has been honored with numerous awards, including the Pritzker Prize 1995, RIBA Royal Gold Medal 1997, AIA Gold Medal in 2002, Alvar Aalto Medal in 1985, and the UIA Gold Medal in 2005.
DE: Der Konferenz-Pavillon steht am östlichen Rand des Vitra Campus, gleich neben den Vitra Design-Museum von Frank Gehry. Das Haus wurde 1993 fertiggestellt und war Tadao Andos erstes Projekt ausserhalb Japans. Der zurückhaltende Bau beinhaltet mehrere Konferenzräume.
