The historical marker provides text in Lithuanian and English. The English text reads:
"The buildings of the church and friary are dominated by the bell tower, constructed in 1743. Its impressive height and intricate system of Late Baroque decorative elements produces a certain contrast to the calm and moderate Early Baroque forms of the main facade. The Latin cross-shaped church was completed in 1631. The facade is generously decorated with pilasters, scrolls and obelists. There are 18 Late Baroque altars inside; the main one is a two-piece Baroque and Classical altar, created by the architect M. Knackfuss in 1778. The nearby Gothic buildings were adapted for the Carmelite friary in the 17th century."
