The Great North Road was the main road north, so this hotel was built in an advantageous position.
It is within 10 to 20 minutes drive of about 30 wineries.
The hotel was bought by the current owners in 2014, and their aim is to bring back some of the glory and feel of the old heritage style of the hotel.
