A small vertical declining sundial decorates the wall of the cafe of the Reaturaunt Choumas at Place Cadelade in downtown Le Puy-en Velay.

This charming sundial is more decorative than accurate. The gnomon is in the meridian plane but the hour indicated on the meridian is XIV (4). Hours indicated are XI to XVII, perhaps the hours the cafe is open. Surrounding the square dial face are a Beau Soleil (sun face) on top, a wheat on the left and grapes on the right.
The motto in Provencal is "Lou Tems Passo, Passo Lou Ben" roughly translates to "Time spent here is time well spent"
