The trailhead is located directly at the parking for the nearby beach, that can be quite full especially on weekends. It is marked by a large information board and thus easy to find.
The nice trail leads through the hills of the maritime protection zone Cabo Carbonara to the old tower Torre di Porto Giunco and the site of the abandoned granite quarry Cava Usai which is situated at a small beach.
The trail is made of dirt, sometimes also sand or large rocks. It is not really difficult, but good footwear might be a plus.
