This family business was started by Italian immigrant Angelo Lagomarcino who soon learned to make chocolate candy and homemade ice cream. Since then the business has passed down through several generations and still remains in family ownership. The building has original pressed tin ceiling and hexagon tile floor, locally built booths, and Tiffany lamps. Some of the candy cases are original as well. A wide array of chocolate candy (truffles, caramels, creams, toffee, pecan dainties) can be purchased at the store or ordered on-line. Ice cream offerings include ice cream sodas and malts, egg cremes, and sundaes. I highly recommend the Mississippi Marvel ice cream sundae with the Lagomarcino’s homemade fudge sauce.
