The cover says journal, but it is essentially another form of visitor count and shows where some of the visitors come from. Sequoia National Park is visited by over a million folks each year. World travelers especially want to see the Giant Sequoia

The entrance from the south is a quick elevation gain from 2000 - 4,000 feet in less than 20 miles. RVs and trailers not recommended. I wrote that it was my first visit here and included the waymarking site.
The cover looks older, perhaps an insertable notebook? Replaced each year or when full. There is parking for about 20 cars at the Visitor Center and additional at the picnic area across the way. Pass is good for 7 days. Lodgepole is the largest campground.
