"The Teague family donated 20 acres of family land in memorial to a family member in 1935. A park was developed on this land. In 1975 in preparation for the bicentennial, the Longview Lions decided to construct an amphitheater to be used for musical events in the park. Today the amphitheater is used in the summer for concerts in the park presented by the Longview Symphony." information provided by Glenda Boggs 2015 Lions Club President.
